Mary MacKillop Today is an international development organisation working in Australia and overseas. We build partnerships that create opportunities for self determination through education and the teaching of practical life skills to women, men and children.
For over 150 years members of the SOSJ have been committed to demonstrating the love of God in real and practical ways.
The core project principles of Mary MacKillop Today are grounded in Catholic Social Teaching and the work of Mary MacKillop.
The achievement of our mission is dependent on the contribution of many people, including our partners, supporters, Board of Directors and of course — our staff.
Mary was born in Victoria to Scottish immigrants. At the age of 24 she dedicated her life to God and took on the name “Mary of the Cross”.
