There has been a strong friendship between the Missionary Sisters of Service and the Sisters of Saint Joseph for many years, which has seen Mary MacKillop Today provide recent funding support for Highways and Byways longer-term projects.

Following this collaboration, both Highways and Byways and Mary MacKillop Today have agreed to work together as one entity – the Mary MacKillop Today Highways and Byways program. Mary MacKillop Today has adopted the Small Community Grants program and the Free2B Girls program and will continue to support these programs for the foreseeable future.

This merger is a significant step forward in Mary MacKillop Today’s commitment to continue to continue to support people and communities, particularly those experiencing disadvantage and exclusion, in rural and remote areas.

We look forward to sharing stories with you of the exciting work that is being realised through the Mary MacKillop Today Highways and Byways Program in rural Australia.
