On this International Women’s Day, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible strength and resilience of women, especially those who are working tirelessly within our communities to promote mental health and recovery. At BIRTH Fiji, we are deeply committed to providing community-based, recovery-oriented mental health services, and we are incredibly grateful for the support we receive from organizations like Mary MacKillop Today.
Mary MacKillop Today’s localised support has been invaluable in helping us understand the unique needs of the communities we serve. Their funding for community awareness programs has enabled us to not only raise awareness but also tailor our services to the specific cultural and social contexts of our clients. This partnership has strengthened our ability to deliver services that are both effective and compassionate.
Mary MacKillop Today’s approach reflects the power of community-driven initiatives, and together, we are fostering an environment where mental health is prioritized, stigma is reduced, and individuals can access the support they need to recover and thrive.
As we celebrate the achievements of women today, we also recognize the critical role women play in the mental health and wellbeing of our communities. Their voices, leadership, and advocacy are essential in shaping a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
Thank you to Mary MacKillop Today for your unwavering support and for being a vital partner in this journey. Together, we are making a lasting impact.
Happy International Women’s Day!
